I'm really interested as to what MVM can do. They have a team with quite a few members who could really improve significantly.
Oh and hoping GHC breaks the record. |

So any updates from Day 1? Check-in, speech and interview tomorrow (Thursday). Remaining objective test and SQ Friday. Awards Saturday morning. It is supposed to be very windy here tomorrow afternoon and evening. You know what they say, wind breeds success. -------------------- Once a Polar Bear, Always a Polar Bear

I'm flying down to Albuquerque tomorrow for several days of "alpacalizing," as DemiDec Dan puts it!
According to the wifi information on Doubletree's website, I should also be able to webcast both Super Quiz relay at 3:00pm Friday and the Awards Banquet at around 9:00am Saturday (Mountain Time). I'll keep you folks updated. This post has been edited by madcap: Apr 26 2012, 06:41 AM |

Robb I don't think that will be necessary. I heard they're doing a live stream of the events, has anyone heard such things too?

I got off of work on Saturday morning so I can watch the awards webcast. I am SO HAPPY!
I will probably sit in front of my computer, bedecked head to toe with royal blue and silver, screaming every time WW gets anything. I very much look forward to this. -------------------- Music Major Extraordinaire :)

Just got in - excited to meet everyone tomorrow. Sure, I'll still try to webcast!
I don't trust any (first-time attempt?) live stream; California tried it at 2010 state and it didn't go well at all. This post has been edited by madcap: Apr 27 2012, 05:51 AM |

Students just went in to start testing. They literally could take nothing in with them. Students were asked to take their id's and pencils to their coaches. Is this a new policy?

Dude, I wish there had been no clothes for testing! Given the stares I got while fully clothed at regionals my year, I probably would have been one of very few people to actually finish the tests. Haha.

Band playing Colors of the Wind from Pocahontas (sp?). Yay!
For anybody who hasn't seen it yet, California is putting up some of the best nationals coverage I've seen on their Facebook page: pictures of Granada meeting Rockwall, etc. https://www.facebook.com/AcademicDecathlon |
