Pretty cool to see some of my kids on the poll for top scorers and even get a vote. Proud of them. smile.gif

CA Superquiz- electronic clickers survey the responses and aggregate them for the audience.

Granada Hills banner says "Go AcaDeca"- perhaps the only thing they will get wrong tonight.

So...apparently SQ questions were the exact same as the SQ questions at Alaska State...which has had a video up on YouTube for a month. Not sure what is going to happen.

    It is. :/

Guess this was bound to happen at some point. I wonder how many people there had watched the Alaska video, and if they'll end up counting SQ or not. It would be hard to make that call.

But anyway, hope testing and all went well for everyone!! Best of luck at awards tomorrow! biggrin.gif

Last-minute predictions (ahhh been too busy to do more sad.gif) :

    1. Granada
    2. ECR
    3. Franklin
    4. Marshall
    DII: Edison
DIII: St. Helena (Pleasant Grove second guess)

I turned in a protest asking for it to be thrown out. Doubt it will happen. I know us, Valencia, and Olympian were all really close to each other in Sq. I'm an idiot and was tracking Woodbridge instead of Westminster so I have no idea how they did.

Really sad and upset rn. Found out last night and have been mulling over my thoughts for hours. Strongly feel that the SQ scores should be discounted. It's what I would do if a classroom exam were compromised.

We have said for years that a danger of having California's state competition so late is that the information is out there. But whereas we used to think about unscrupulous people who would fly to another state surreptitiously to skulk around getting the questions ahead of time, now people can just Google it any time, anywhere.

Disappointed and mad that this tainted our competition!

When we won state this year, we received a plaque that was the same as the one we received at regionals (except 1st not 2nd). I WANT THOSE BIG TROPHIES. Those are awesome.

Try to start doing medal counts for lit. Don't know how far we are but at least two subs and econ.

    GHC- Br V Br S Br H Slv V
    Franklin- Br S Slv H
    ECR- Slv S Slv S Gld V
    Marshall- Br H Slv S Gld H

missed one Slv S maybe a Bronze

    Math

    GHC- 3V 3V 3S 3H 2H 1S 1S 1H
    Franklin- 2S 2H
    ECR- 2H 1V 1S(?)
    Marshall- 3H 2V 1H

    missed a 3V and 2H

Looks like 1000 will be highest score here, which is a huge difference from the Texas tests since that things was a mess- only the Pearce honors got 1000. For comparison purposes to HP

Pleasant Grove seems to be rocking butterfly wings. Pretty great. They've also gotten a few medals in the d3 division. d2 seems hard to gauge.

    Thanks Sam!
