I think that the states all take the same tests, although each state's org is individually responsible for appeals.

Not true -- there are two different versions for each round, and they can be pretty different. I know Massachusetts took one version, and Texas/Wisconsin another. Not sure which Iowa used.

And Piper Gray, the hardest-working decathlete I have ever coached, sets a CDO record of 8970.8, beating Juhyung Sun's old mark of 8964 set in 2007.

Yetman you just keep going and going over there. Congratulations smile.gif I echo Allan's sentiment on you being one of the best coaches around- not just for your success but for creating an amazingly fun environment to be in.

Ohh!! Yes, I can't believe I missed that -- congratulations to her!! biggrin.gif

I hadn't had much time to look over the results from Arizona -- I spent Sunday in Rhode Island as a Speech and Interview judge, which was tons of fun! Congrats to Bishop Hendricken for continuing their new dynasty with their seventh win straight (41,617.0).

Anyone hear anything on Illinois?

She also tied Nathan's SF, and their subs were essentially identical. Dang math

That's a lot of teams. Some sort of engineering event as well? Maybe instead of essay? That seems like a neat idea.

Comparing this presentation to what we have had at our nationals events is insulting.

I mean, they're separately funded. China cares way more about education than the US, so in a way it kinda makes sense. :/

How would you like to run all of those scantrons through the scanners? Should be a piece of cake after a few Rockwall meets with 800+ kids.
