Partial results from Lubbock Invitational

Top Score
6,700 Nick Watson (Monterey)

Lubbock is #1 in Texas. Congratulations to them! (And to Nick Watson; that's mad impressive!) I hope at some point we can see how the other teams and individuals did!

I don't know about other schools, but aside from Nick Watson the most impressive scores came from lubbock High.
Our scorers are already on gils link of the day, but I'll give them anyways.
Honors: Monona Khare: 6402.8
Selena Sheng: 6380
Joseph McCarty: 6160
Andrew Yan: 5860
Phyllis Zhang: 5660
Scholastics: Jake watts (me!): 6091.4
Maria Beusterien: 5645.7
Robert Trevino: 5368.5
Elijah Rosas: 5145.7
Varsities: Esteban Romero: 5485.7
Hunter Dortch: 5268.5
Austin Bernard: 4608.5
Sarah Medina: 4188.6

So yeah, no state champion scores: just a really balanced team.
Feel free to add scores to glotd, I would but I don't have an account.

You can edit the scores wiki without having an account! Also, impressive showing. Did y'all have any glaring weak points you felt the team ought to have been better than?

Thanks for sharing more individual scores -- that depth is impressive!!

Also, I just wanna say, I think that's the first time I've ever heard anyone refer to ADSIC as gils link of the day, but that's pretty awesome.

Also, thanks; this is an exciting year for us.

No, that's totally cool!! Most people don't ever notice it's hosted by Gil's Link of the Day, and I don't think Gil gets enough credit for hosting it for us, so it makes me happy!! tongue.gif

Nothing our entire team needed to work on, but several individuals (myself included) suffered greatly because of one subject they were weak at, but that varied for each person. What worries me most is Math. Our scores were mostly okay because it was the easy test, but some were still low. I worry math scores will drop as the tests get harder.

Hey does anyone know the results from the Marshall Fall Classic? According to glotd's acadec scores, it should have happened in late September but I can't find this year's results.

Good question, but alas, they're intensely secretive about it, and it's highly unlikely we'll know before next season. :/

Assume very very high. Except most of them only study 5 subjects by then, so the score don't look as high as they will be by Nov/Jan

Is Lubbock taking USAD easy at their meet? (I think that's what they did last year?) Anybody know when it is?

They should be doing USAD Easy; I don't know why they wouldn't. Last year it was the last Saturday of October, but the year before it was the first Saturday of November; I guess these things tend to move around. I imagine though that if we haven't heard anything then it's probably next weekend! (Does anyone know for sure?)

Have you done USAD Easy yet?

Yes, our results were pretty unimpressive. We scored around 29k.

I would be ecstatic if our kids had scored 29k. I hope it's still too early to label that as an "unimpressive" score.

Thanks! I'm hopeful and it's early but the 34-35k scores are the impressive ones at this point. WOW!

Hi! I didn't see a separate topic for USAD Easy scores, but our team (Trabuco Hills HS) took it today and I wanted to share the scores:

Edwin Santos (H1) - 6300
Karina Akers (H2) - 6102.9
Julie Reyes (H3) - 5717.1
Kelly Zhang (S1) - 5391.4
Jewel Chu (S2) - 4591.4
Gabriel Castrillon (V1) - 4680
Elijah Santiago (V2) - 4097.1
Ananya Kumar (V3) - 3951.4

Team Total: 31,162.8

I am extremely proud of our team! Last year when we took USAD Easy the week before Round 1, we scored 26,005.7. The growth between this year and last year has been INCREDIBLE to watch! I am hoping this bodes well for our team at Round 1 on Saturday!

I think 29k is still pretty impressive. Although the 29k you then went and got on USAD Medium is even more impressive. Congrats on such an improvement!!
