Tchaikovsky "Ode to Joy"

From 1865, gem of a piece. I know there's not enough curriculum in a day to put all pieces in, and I don't know which one would be bumped to allow this one in, but I don't care. It's full of warmth, humanity, and stands on its own merits, even in the shadow of Beethoven's treatment of Schiller's work.

Best part is ZERO John Cage. biggrin.gif

What are some recommendations you'd like to make for someone interested in widening one's appreciation of the genre?
