dude, your Region III predictions were freakishly good... team scores were +/- a couple hundred for most of the teams. lol I can almost hear you repeating "4 minutes to Wapner... 1 minute to Wapner, oh boy, uh, uh" (Rain Man allusion for those who didn't catch it).

Oh? Do tell... popcorn.gif Do you have the scores?

PM sent

Yay! Team scores now up here. smile.gif And whoa, I predicted Large and Medium in the right order! biggrin.gif

Which regions are still not fully represented on the Academic Decathlon Scores & Information page as of this fine Sunday morning? I know Region V is missing full data. Where else?

I can enter these later. Late for a 9:00 appointment this morning but region 8 medium was again brutal.
Lubbock High 49471
Summit 45,847.8
Wylie East 44,983.6
Little Elm 44,297.8
Monterey 44,246
Lake Ridge 38,953
Coronado 38,718
Talkington 36,602
Timberview 34,699
Legacy 33,169 (missing a second c)

The meet was run beautifully by former Lamar coach Rodney Bond.

Large schools winners were Martin, Arlington high, and Wylie. All finished behind the top five in Medium.

Here are the large school results from Region VIII. I think Melanie shared the medium school results. (They are all beasts!) I'm excited that our region is becoming more competitive! Martin HS finally have coaches that care about AcDec as much as the rest of us. Mr. G left an under-supportive Duncanville to join Wylie. It's great to see the passion back in his eyes. Arlington HS only placed second, but it was still super fun!

Martin 42,845.1
Arlington 41,561.1
Wylie 39,243.3
Dubiski 38,454.1 (first year in the program coached by Sam Gaskill, who also loves AcDec, former Duncanville coach)
Mansfield 36,344.6
Lamar 34,940.3

On a side note, one of our honors, Darcey Britton, scored 8,967.6! We've never had someone score close to 9K!
And... she's only a junior! biggrin.gif

Go Berkner! They're returning to State after not making it in 2013. Congrats to coach Tanya Gent for getting the Rams back in the Texas Top 40!
