We were fortunate to have known Rose Gilbert. She had served as Coach at Palisades High for many years.

Rose was inducted into the LAUSD Academic Decathlon Hall of Fame in 2011. I have never known a nicer person.

Wow. If we all could have half the impact she had on so many students, the world would be a better place.

Rose Gilbert sounds awesome! I've never heard of a teacher in her 90s before.

Sorry to hear of her passing. She and her husband were major supporters of my alma mater (UCLA) and while I never had the privilege of meeting Mrs. Gilbert, she does sound like she was an amazing supporter of education and youth learning.
