The Dallas Cowboys will be SEC team #14. You heard it here first.

Since Cam Newton didn't fall anywhere, we won't know whether he could pay more than Auburn.

Pat's just scared that the Sunbelt/Conference USA/WAC ultra alliance would dominate college football for the next 5 decades. I mean, North Texas is already formidable, but with 25 more teams to bolster it...omg.

this ridiculous realignment smurf needs to end. imma solve it right now.

12 conferences of 10 teams each: 6 top tier conferences (pac 10, big 10, big 12, big east, sec, and acc) and six corresponding second tier conferences, each one matching up with a top tier. every team plays every team in its conference in a year, plus 3 out-of-conference.

teams ranked 9 and 10 on in-conference play in top tier conferences play teams ranked 2 and 1 (respectively) in the corresponding second tier conference at a neutral location after the regular season to determine who plays in the top tier conference the following year.

teams ranked first in each top tier conference qualify for the playoffs, as do 2 teams selected by a coaches' poll (teams in second tier conferences are eligible for these spots).

teams ranked 2 and 3 in top tier conferences play teams from other conferences in bowl games.

everyone is happy forever.

oh, and byu has to stay independent.

Somehow, the decision to go independent was simultaneously the best and worst decision the program ever made. Best because of the ESPN TV deal that is fifty thousand times better than the MWC's comcast deal, and worst because the team literally has nothing to play for after losing one game. With their bowl invitation already set, one loss knocks them out of BCS contention and they have no conference title to play for. So why play?

Apparently, Boise State and San Diego State are only going for football.

...wait, wait...the Big East plays football?

Alright, so what the dickballs is going on? When does this all stop? Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, and now Louisville are going to the ACC, and if it's even possible, the Big East looks deader than it did last year, considering how spread out it is geographically and the fact that SDSU, Boise State and BYU are trying to get back into the Mountain West. Is UConn on the way out? To what extent does this create/exacerbate a football/basketball split? IS THE WORLD GOING TO BE ENGULFED IN FLAMES?

The realignments in general don't bother me much. I just hope BYU doesn't go throwing away its ESPN TV deal to land itself back in the MW.
