Seriously

It is a hair dude what is so fascinating here

That says a lot about my life. It's just something out of the ordinary.

I'm sure your room isn't perfectly clean. It could have been a really old hair, from when someone else stayed in your dorm. Or, maybe the hair landed on your clothes and you brought it in. I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation for this hair.

I'm sure there is. It's still rather strange. I don't see many girls in a day.

HR: I shaved and the first half of the freshman 15 is really showing in my face.

AF: I just found a girl's hair in my room. No girl has been in my room since my sister was here 3 months ago and that was not her hair.

um, pretty much all military training is. but without the sword and magic smurf.
at least we get to use airsoft guns soon. the good ones actually hurt like smurf, and will draw blood at close range.

I heard they took away your demilitarized M1s. Ouch.

I actually hadn't heard anything about that...
all AFROTC uses is the rubber duckies, as far as I know.

Huh. Must just have been the Prescott Campus.

Does anyone have some early predictions on individuals at state? What individuals will break the 8000 and 9000 barriers?

With the math the way it is and the screwed up subjectives we are famous for, I doubt anyone will break 9K.

having been many times to the 2002 olympic sledding track (i can see it from my house), and known many people who have been down it, i can tell you that's not that uncommon. nor do i think two inches of foam would have helped much when you're traveling 90 miles per hour. the track in vancouver is very fast, perhaps irresponsibly so, but no one knows the dangers of the sport better than the competitors themselves. the loss of the georgian athlete is terrible, and the whole of the olympics will be dampened by this tragedy. But let's not trivialize his death by attributing it to some unknown engineer's "bright idea."

In no way am I trivializing his death. It's not his fault the poles where there. I think it would be common sense to place thing like those support beams well away from the track to help prevent accidents from turning into losses of life. I think one of the best ways to remember the Georgian competitor is to take steps to protect others from suffering his fate. And I do think he would probably be alive if the supports where further away so he had a better chance of missing them or at least hitting them at lower speed.

Who's bright idea was it to a bunch of steel poles next to the luge track?

if I can take the time and effort to learn social skills, he can too
I'm at an engineering college, but people like him are surprisingly rare. I think it's all the pilots and ROTC guys.

Also, I saw a fat girl with her tongue sticking out wearing a hoodie that said nothing but "Hershey" on it walking around campus today. Am I a bad person for laughing at that?

All those guys must come here. Most of the AFROTC is like that. Really the only group that is entirely free of that is the AROTC.

No, you're not.

Prescott (AZ) will return 2 honors, all 5 scholastics, and 2 varsity.

Edit: forgot one of our varsities was mistakenly paced in scholastic by our coach and left there.
This just counts those who competed at scrimmage. 4 of our scholastics will have competed at a USAD competition.
All students listed will be seniors next year.

Hey, I called that smurf in like, November. I'm shocked they pulled off second, really, after the no-show at Kingman, and the third-place at Round Valley.

I know you called it, but it still can't be fun. The only reason they got second is because North Pointe ate it in a few areas and Prescott and Round Valley choked hard on relay. The 12 on the scorepad at the end of day hurts just to think about.

A huge congratulations to you, John, on what looks like it may well turn out to be a nation-leading score. Kick butt at state!

Thanks man. I don't know about 'nation-leading' though.... I'll have to wait for CA before I'll believe that one. Haha, and sorry I never got to talk to you again after Friday night - the rest of the competition just seemed to fly by.

Hari and I had to head back to ASU pretty early, so we never got another chance. I had to miss awards as well, sadly, but I won't miss state (which MP qualified for! Woo!).

Sweet! I'll be there too. A little AcaTreck reunion. Is Brendan going to come?

Region I was dismal but very exiting.

Kingman Academy 37,XXX
St. Johns 35,XXX
North Pointe Prep 33XXX

Overall Top Score
Johnnie ? Kingman Academy 6,8XX

Speech medals where terrible. Varsity gold was 80X. Silver was in the 750 range. Math was brutal. Our H1 got third overall and only had a 314.7. Top score in science was from our H as well who did not answer 5 questions and got a 720, enough to get gold by almost 100. I will post scores on Monday afternoon when I get a copy of the papers. I would have webcasted, but the awards moved quick so some of us could beat the blizzard that was coming in and would have trapped us in Pinetop if we left any later that 6. It was pretty scary coming south from Flagstaff as it was.

It was Hannah for Overall Top Score.

Sorry about that. I'll fix my post. Congrats again on beating St. Johns.

Edit: Where scores ow all over that state this year or was it just Region I? Prescott would like to know what their chances are of making state with a 31,5XX.
