Apparently?

I have a few questions in response.
How early?
What's your source?
How reliable is your source?
Why am I so impatient to learn the scores?

Unknown, but early in the morning, according to the source.
The WIAD Facebook page.
Pretty reliable.
Probably because you want scores.

I'm curious as to whether they included everyone from the team in determining the team score, or just the people from the first team registered by the school.
We registered 2 team, one with 3 people in each division, and another team with 1 honors, 2 scholastic, and 2 varsity. I wouldn't be surprised in people from the second team scored in the top 2 in each division for our school, so that could change what our score 'should' be, though it could also affect other teams just as much for all I know.

I know in the past they counted the teams separately, so it seems at least somewhat likely, but with new directors, anything could change.

The team scores are just from those on the highest scoring full team. Yours would be the one with three people in each division.

Yeah, for instance, they said #11 NBE was "New Berlin Eisenhower Team 2". The rankings are only out of schools, not teams, making me wonder how many schools are actually stronger than their scores would have you believe. I don't know the point of separating them into multiple 'teams' if you can switch your roster before Regionals anyway. Do any teams try to 'game' the system by putting their strongest people on different teams for Locals?

Whatever the case, third ain't a bad start, especially if your real score is likely higher. smile.gif

So, according to a piece of paper I received, these are the official scores for the top 10

1: Wilmot Union- 25739
2: Pewaukee - 24483
3: Watertown 23806
4: Rufus King 23087
5: Waukesha West 21287
6: New Richmond 20852
7: New Berlin West 20768
8: Melrose-Mindoro 20638
9: Sun Prairie 20422
10: Slinger 20388

I have a bunch of different reactions to these scores, but I'll wait until I know more to share, except for how it seems the livestream got it slightly wrong

Whoa!! Oh, weird, yeah -- they announced y'all at 3rd earlier, switched with Watertown. Strange... whatever the case, that's an impressive number of teams above 20k! At least three more than last year. Maybe more if any of these had separate teams with members who would have counted (of course, same for last year too). Interested in seeing individuals when we get those.

Do you know Rufus King's score with the other counters yet? Or how you did?

I don't know any of the individual scores yet, but I know this score is only from people on 'first team', but I feel like the other scores won't bring it up to my predictions since Rufus King 2 scored 13700 with 5 people.

I do have all of the team scores, but it would take a while to type all of them out.

Um, so an anonymous user whose IP traces back to the area just posted on ADSIC that ECR dropped 38,900 at Round 1 a couple weeks ago.

Can anyone confirm this?! jaw-dropping.gif

Also added were South Pasadena at 34,980, Granada at 34,500, and Franklin at 33,500. These seem to be approximate scores.

Okay, I've got it confirmed. Wow. 38,900. That's an average of almost 6.5k across the board.

There are schools that struggle to get that score in *10* events, let alone just 7.

Mad props, yo.

Those are incredible scores indeed! I can't wait to see (hopefully you guys get the data) to see how that breaks down. We're one of those schools that struggles to break that score in 10 events! How about being about 4500 points ahead of the three-time defending national champions?

39.4 is the correct score.

Since Abuelo departed, we have been told by the powers that be that our score documents are for "internal use only". With that said, since it's already out of the bag, your scores are pretty accurate.

I'm really sorry for not posting, I honestly don't have a problem with sharing scores, as I believe it only strengthens the competition. Unfortunately, not everyone feels that way.

Would have placed them 17th at Nats last year.

At this point, I just don't know what a number means anymore.
