Indeed!! Wisconsin is starting things off this year on the 12th (just two weeks away!); I'm trying to compile a list of Regionals dates here! Happy studying, everyone! smile.gif

Nebraska doesn't rate its own regional thread, but it's happening right now. Coaches are waiting around while the kids test.

Apparently Ohio was also today -- the new State Director tweeted the following:

Top Honors -- Richard Roediger, Oakwood, 9,314.1
Top Scholastic -- Rebecca Gentry, Oakwood, 8,551.9
Top Varsity -- Cameron Hendrix, Oakwood, 7,513.4

If these are ten-event scores without SQ -- which I think we are -- then Roediger is Ohio's first-ever 9k'er. cool.gif

Edit: confirmed it's ten events!

Such a shame. I think this thing we do is getting harder and harder to maintain on all three fronts: admin support, spirited coaches, and curious students.

Interesting that a few schools also have more than one team competing. I wonder if those schools have to pay an additional competition fee?

Indeed they do. Although it is a slightly reduced version of the regular entrance fee.

Nobody appeared to have died in subjectives today so I consider that a success. If we can win some medals in scholastics or varsity I will feel better about our overall chances.
