Weird, my time AFTER the start of girlfriends is the time that got foggy.

It took me too long to realise that Good Friday and Black Friday are two different things. And the latter sounds much more like a religious holiday.

Have you always used British spellings? I'm not sure... tongue.gif

He has.

I had to read that post about 5 times before I realized what was "british" about the spelling.
Either I read a lot of british things, or I still suck at spelling

Wait, really? I said that when you broke up with the 37xx guy and started dating TinDefacto. Has there been another one since then?

Don't think there's been another one; however, I have heard that Marin is pretty hot stuff among the freshmen on her team...

Also,
HR: Today I found out(/remembered) that the thread containing all the old in-jokes and memes from DDT and ADT was deleted. Now we will never be able to show the new generations the glory of Rachel's enchilada bra, Gilbot's glory, The Chloe/jonesy trash talk thread, The Posters of the year competition, and simple things like "The person above you" thread, the Mark Foley joke account, RM's illegitimate children, OCM's [joke redacted], or the old members who we've lost to the sands of time and the crushing weight of old age and actual lives: Katerific, Monica, Bilgethresh (or however you smurfing spell it), Rachel, Gil, [He who still probably shouldn't be named], and so many more.

In short, I spent so much of my time here from the age of 17 onward that I feel nostalgic over all the things that have happened here.

Ooh, what did gilbot do?? I think I've seen that name mentioned on the scores wiki.

I remember "the person above you"! Why don't we start another one?

Gilbot was mostly on the IRC channel that we briefly had. It was kind of a normal IRC bot with a lot of Gil's sense of humor added on.

Since it will eventually get warm enough to grill, here is my fool-proof marinade that will go with anything.

1 can papaya juice, 1 can pineapple juice, 1 dollop Worcester sauce (about 1-3 tablespoons, A-1 sauce will also work), a pinch of chili pepper (to taste obviously), 3 dashes soy sauce.
Pour in gallon ziplock bag with any diced meat (amounts I listed will cover about 2 pounds of chicken). Let sit for 2-3 hours at least
If you want sweeter, add about a tablespoon of brown sugar.

This is a very simplistic marinade that is pretty easy to add to depending on the situation but will work fine as is.

My Halloween plans are slowly being set into motion.

I'm doing a magic routine for my Criminal Adjudication class, and invitations have been sent out for my Midnight Movie Halloween Bash.

It's going to be great.

Well, since it's you, at least we know the buckets of pig blood won't be dumped on the maligned loner with magical powers.

Also, from the trailers, it would seem they are using used motor oil for that scene in the Carrie remake. This is a travesty.

Are you sure it's not transmission fluid?

F5 is easier

Not on my laptop. F5 alone turns my trackpad on and off. Fn-F5 reloads, but control and R are closer to each other. tongue.gif

You can go into your computer settings and turn that off. That's what I did because I hate those buttons.

Plus, I'm not convinced a couple of really terrible card tricks and an offer of dinner, drinks, and Donkey Kong spells "commitment" to most women, but I'm not an expert either.

It's not those activities, it's the thing about using the Ace of Hearts to reveal you're asking her out.

Obviously Crow should have been going with the Jack of Hearts to begin with.

Obviously should have used the Joker.

Alright, new plan. If I'm going to get shot out of the saddle, I'm at least going to do it in style.

Gonna try asking a new girl out. I've got a couple of (not particularly good) card tricks I can do. If I can corner her on Thursday, I'm going to try to do a normal-looking routine that actually culminates with her receiving the ace of hearts with my number written on it. Plus, you know, asking if she wants to go to the (b)arcade with me.

If that fails, I'm just going to grab her and scale the tallest building on campus, grunting at confused passersby below until the military sends biplanes after me (again).

I want video if you proceed with your plan b there.
