Hey all! At the above link, I've set up a pretty simple, easy to use mock investment game made by the Wall Street Journal. All you need to do is create a free account, and add the password "demidec."

Everyone starts off with 10,000,000 USD, and you can distribute that over stocks, funds, and ETFs. The game isn't too advanced (no stop/limit, no ForEx trading, no swaps or options) so you don't need to know anything about finance to get started! Just take a little time to think about what might be a good idea to buy, do a little research and go for it!

Everyone (high school students, college students, old people, everyone!) should join! You can start at any time, but portfolios go live on Monday!

Invest in sodas, tobacco, big oil and credit card companies. Stay the heck away from biotech. Big banks are still kinda cheap, but yo-yo all the time. Video game companies are LOSERS and never move.

Just ask Curt Schilling, I suppose.

Also: tobacco companies? Is that an emerging market thing?
