Official classifications for next year in Texas were released today by UIL. I'm assuming if you're listed on the page listed below as 6A you'll compete next year in large school and if you're 5A you'll be medium school? http://www.uiltexas.org/files/alignments/S...ank_2018-20.pdf

Maybe one of the data kings here can go through the list and compile a summary of who might be moving from medium to large and vice-versa for next year?

It looks like only six schools that are attending state competition this year will be switching classifications next year. Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
Friendswood 6a to 5a
Summit 5a to 6a
Lebanon Trail 4a to 5a
Turner 6a to 5a
Elkins 5a to 6a
Lake Ridge 5a to 6a

Nope, it says 6A. D: Also, the Turner listed on there ("Carrollton Turner") is from a different school district -- as of last year, they no longer do AcDec, sadly. :/

Lake Ridge is doing really well this year; crossing my fingers they'll be competitive at the Large level next year!

Also moving up to Large are Waco, Waxahachie, and Molina.

Moving from Large to Medium: Eastwood, Montgomery, and Hightower.

Medium to Small: Splendora.

If Montgomery isn't a flash-in-the-pan group this year, they may do well down there. Still don't think Hightower will have the heat to compete in 5A. Has Splendora competed recently?
