So last night I dreamt that, among other things, a certain beloved coach on this board decided he was deeply unsatisfied with life in the US and vowed to retire at the end of the year to spend the rest of his life in the depths of the Amazon rainforest. (We'll miss you, EDC!)

Also, Mr. Overdog became the highest-scoring Decathlete of all time despite, ya know, not actually being a Decathlete anymore this year. tongue.gif

So let's hear your best and weirdest AcDec dreams! Ready, set, go!! biggrin.gif

I've had that dream a few times, too. Imagine that. Also wait... You mean I'm not a decathlete anymore? Why have I been taking all these tests then?! I dunno man, my USAD Easy score was pretty good. Maybe I'll get back into competing, steal some kid's identity tongue.gif

I had a dream pretty recently that my team (no idea who they were) was 43k in 8 subjects at Texas Regionals and I was really mad at them for not being higher than that. I'm a slavedriver in my dreams

I think an apartment in Barcelona is more my style than the depths of the Amazonian rain forest, but I'll miss you all. tongue.gif

I have had nightmares about varsities doing insane stuff at state or regional competitions. I would always, the very next day, tell them not to do the thing I dreamed about, just in case such a situation arose. They always thanked me for the heads-up and made sure that that thing didn't happen.

I have a recurring nightmare of accidentally handing in scantrons with the answers for a different subject- mainly because I actually did that two years ago at the Rockwall meet

I end up grading so many quizzes by hand. Sometimes I get incredibly devastated when one of my student misses the first 10 questions in a row. Then I look up at the answer key and realize that it's for Demidec Test 3 and not 4.

At Texas State competitions, coaches live the nightmare of essay scores. Over and over and over... It's been years, but I still twitch as I think of some of those essay scores...

I just had one where our top scholastic (6th in the State at Regionals) didn't turn in the required WIAD permission form, and he couldn't compete, resulting in bad things. I really don't need this less than a week before state.

Now that I'm not coaching, I have fewer dreams about AcDec.

But I still have them... especially if Facebook decides I need to see old pictures again.
